INTRODUCTION

The E-SMARTi is an advanced electronic security system utilising face, voice and facial-mimic info for biometric verification. The use of several biometric types (Multi-Modal) allows the unit to provide a higher than normal level of accuracy and an increased biometric security level. As well, due to the open-nature of the unit's software it can easily be linked to legacy access control systems or alternatively to other forms of biometric hardware (i.e. fingerprint scanners.)

FACIAL RECOGNITION

The integrated colour camera performs the unit's facial recognition. A user's face and/or facial mimic is compared against a database of enrolled users. Each user is enrolled onto the system before use and is assigned a user profile. This user log-in stores the user's details, as well as the 3 biometric identifiers. All biometric data is securely stored in a compressed encrypted format. A great advantage of the E-SMARTi unit is it's ability to store an unlimited amount of biometric patterns for each of the 3 identifiers. Many biometric systems only allow a limited amount of patterns to be stored. With this product, the user can add as many as required. The greater the number, the greater the accuracy.

VOICE

Our third biometric identifier for the E-SMARTi is that of voice. During facial enrollment, an audio sample is taken.

NETWORKABLE

Completely TCP/IP network able, the E-SMARTi has a standard 10/100Mbps Ethernet connection. This allows one or more units to be connected to the same TCP/IP network. Each E-SMARTi unit may act as a master or slave unit on the network. The slave unit stores the database and log. Alternatively, the E-SMARTi server software may be ordered as a separate item and installed on a PC to act as a server. Each E-SMARTi unit comes included with a client application license. The client application may be installed on a PC on the same TCP/IP network. It can be used for configuring the E-SMARTi unit or downloading log data.

REPORTING

The E-SMARTi unit has advanced reporting and logging function. All access, time & attendance, as well as program configuration changes are logged.
