ULTRA-STABLE PLATFORM

The special mechanical design of the E-ULISSE means that it provides an ultra-stable platform for long range video surveillance. Video images have minimal or no 'shake' even when surveying objects 1~4 km's away (platform depedent).

FULL 360 DEGREE CONTINOUS ROTATION

Due to the use of slip-rings, the E-ULISSE is able to continuously rotate 360º horizontally without any cables getting tangled. This feature improves overall reliability and rotational performance.

HIGH SPEED PAN/TILT

High speed, the E-ULISSE has a variable pan speed up to 100º/sec and a tilt speed up to 40º/sec. The unit's high speed performance is equivalent to the best high speed dome cameras available today. With a -90º and +40º vertical tilt, this camera can be used for surveillance above the standard horizontal axis.

PRESETS

The E-ULISSE has integrated support for auto panning, patrols and presets. Preset accuracy is 0.02º with up to 250 supported in the factory mode. Four alarm inputs and two relay outputs are featured for automated action. On alarm, the PTZ camera can be configured to move to a preset position or to start a patrol. A home preset automatically parks the camera in a preset home position after a pre-defined period of time. This is useful in situations where the camera needs to be re-positioned to cover an important area.  

SONY CAMERA MODULE

Featuring a high quality Sony Camera Module, the E-ULISSE provides optimum day and night operation. With a Sony Ex-View 1/4" CCD the unit has a 36x Optical zoom lens. This lens provides a wide field of view of 54º and a 2.2 telephoto capability. Pan/Tilt control can be configured to proportionally adjust according to the zoom range. An integrated mechanical day/night filter makes the camera IR sensitive. The day/night switch over can be configured for a set level of brightness.

ENVIRONMENTAL ACCESSORIES

The E-ULISSE is equipped as standard with a thermostatically controlled heater to provide an optimal operating temperature. This is useful in humid or cold environments. A wiper is fitted to the unit allowing the user to remotely clean the housing window. This makes it ideal for installations where the camera is installed in hard-to-get-to places or dusty environments where the camera window needs to be cleaned several times a day. As an optional accessory, the E-ULISSE can be provided with a washer and pump set. Two different pumps are available, a standard model and a high delivery model. Both models have a 25 litre reservoir and articulated nozzle. The E-ULISSE receives an alarm input signal from the reservoir when the water is on empty. This is then displayed on the camera's on-screen-display for operator warning. The E-ULISSE also outputs a signal to start the reservoir's water punp when needed. This signal is controlled via the aux function on the keyboard on via software control.
