The E-13VG308AS-II is an upgraded version of this popular lens which now features optical resolution to support the new generation of 650TVL analog cameras. Another updated feature is the IR corrected function which prevents loss of focus when used with infra-red illuminations at night.

From dusk into the darkness of the night, the fast F1.0 aperture of the E-13VG308AS-II provides remarkable image quality in low light. Letting in twice as much light as the standard F1.4 lens, this new lens becomes tremendously versatile due to its F1.0 aperture. The lens performs just as effectively under burning midday sun since the aperture stops down to F360. This dynamic range allows just one lens to be used in an area where lighting conditions may change drastically during a 24-hour period, with excellent image quality being maintained.

Utilising aspherical lens technology, superb corner to corner picture quality is provided with a sharp picture and reduced distortion. Aspherical lens technology allows the edges of a lens to be less curved, producing a larger area of accurate image and allowing transmission of a greater amount of light. This improves the quality of camera images, especially when used with digital video recording systems. They reduce distortion and give a lower effective F-stop, permitting cameras to operate at lower light levels.
