The new generation E-13VG550AS-II is a 5.5 ~ 50mm Auto Iris Lens with improved features. These include re-designed mechanical components, an improved ND filter mechanism and multi-layer lens coatings. The improved mechanical design allows for optimum precision focus control and stable variable focal length adjustment. These features all add up to provide better optical performance and wide dynamic range.

For conditions of inconsistent lighting such as outdoors, it is wise to choose an auto-iris lens. The iris automatically adjusts to limit the amount of light reaching the camera’s image sensor. This is useful in bright sunlight. When the light drops, the iris opens again, allowing in more light.
