The E-63W3 is a 3rd generation version of our popular wide dynamic camera. The E-63W. Now with several enhancements including a higher resolution 520 TVL CCD and enhanced electronics.

OSD MENU

Our most advanced CS mount camera, the E-63W3 has an OSD menu through which most camera settings can be configured. This includes the shutter speed, BLC windows, white balance, AGC, negative or mirror image, as well as activation of the special ‘starlight’ mode.

SUPER WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE

Featuring a 400x dynamic range which is considerably greater than that of normal CCD cameras, the E-63W3 provides excellent colour reproduction. The wide dynamic capability also allows it to handle certain contrasts in light better than normal CCD cameras.

SUPER DIGITAL NOISE REDUCTION

Another new feature of the E-63W3 is the special SDNR function. This removes noise from the video image, thereby improving image quality. The S/N ratio is improved from 56 dB up to 60 dB.

DOUBLE EXPOSURE TECHNOLOGY

The E-63W3 utilises a double-scan CCD. Images are exposed at 50 frames/sec instead of the normal 25 frames/sec, this allows the camera to overcome certain harsh lighting conditions. The camera first takes an image of the darker area with a slow shutter speed such as 1/100 sec. This is stored in memory place one. It then uses a higher shutter speed such as 1/4000 sec to get the bright zone of the image and stores it in memory place two. The two images are then processed by the DSP and merged to create one image which is replayed and appears to the user as normal 25 frames/sec video.

STARLIGHT TECHNOLOGY

Featuring the same ‘starlight’ technology as our previous 63W cameras, the E-63W3 is able to operate down to extremely low light levels. The ‘starlight’ mode is an advanced slow-shutter setting which slows the cameras shutter to allow in more light. Various gradients can be configured from x4 up to x128. Our ‘starlight’ mode is best for night-time scenes with low levels of motion. This include use in astronomy, perimeter surveillance, as well as game viewing at water holes.

OTHER FEATURES

Some of the other more advanced features include internal software motion detection, RS485 interface for external control, as well as configurable privacy masking. On activation of the motion detection, an alarm output can be triggered from the camera. Operation of the E-63W3 is off 12 VDC or 24 VAC.
