The E-649B is a compact IP67 rate Infra-Red camera for outdoor surveillance in all lighting conditions. Building on the same quality as our previous E-649, the new model has many advanced features which can all be configured via an OSD menu.
FEATURES
- Super Wide Dynamic WideLux DSP
- 600TVL Resolution (In Color) 650TVL (B/W Mode)
- Peak White Inversion
- 2D/3DNR Noise Reduction
- On-Screen-Display Menu
- IP67 Weatherproof
WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE
The E-649B features our special WideLux DSP chip. This chip performs frame integration which allows the camera to operate in areas with contrasts in light. The frame integration involves 2 channels capturing images of the same scene and stitching these together to provide the user with a seamless image. The 'long exposure image' captures the dark part of the picture and the 'short exposure' image captures the brightly lit portions. Another feature of the WideLux chip is the 2D/3DNR noise reduction. This technology allows the camera to provide noiseless images in lower light scenarios.
TRUE DAY / NIGHT
Unlike many other all-in-one infra-red surveillance cameras, the E-649B has been designed to provide true colour reproduction in the day and B/W infra-red imaging at night with no focus shift. It achieves this by using a mechanical day/night switch over filter which removes the IR-cut filter from the CCD when switching to the B/W mode. Most other IR cameras to cut costs have a selective IR filter which is permanently fixed to the CCD. The advantage of the mechanical IR filter is that it physically removes the IR filter and thus allows the CCD in the B/W mode, to be exposed by the maximum amount of light.
LENS
The lens fitted to the E-649B is a special infra-red compatible type. This compensates for the focus shift which normally occurs when moving from normal illumination in the day to infra-red illumination at night. The lens is a vari-focal type and can be manually adjusted between 4 ~ 9 mm. Extremely innovative, this camera has two screw adjustments for focus and focal length. These mean the installer does not even have to open the camera housing to configure the camera or lens. Thus saving at least 50% of the installation time.
INFRA-RED LEDS
Integrated into the E-649B is a 20-LED Infra-Red Illuminator. This switches on when the camera moves to the day/night mode. It provides extensive illumination for the camera in the B/W mode allowing surveillance in conditions with poor or no lighting. The E-649B has a special circuit to protect the LEDs from burn-out and threfore extend the lifetime.
CONSTRUCTION
Designed to be rugged, the E-649B has a compact aluminium-alloy body with double O-ring seals. It is IP67 weatherproof rate and has an adjustable wall mount bracket.
