TheE-992is a high quality outdoor surveillance camera for medium~long range applications. It combines a high resolution day/night camera and vari-focal day/night lens with an infra-red illuminator and IP67 rated enclosure.

TRUE DAY / NIGHT

Unlike many other all-in-one infra-red surveillance cameras, theE-992 has been designed to provide true colour reproduction in the day and B/W infra-red imaging at night with no focus shift. It achieves this by using a mechanical day/night switch over filter which removes the IR-cut filter from the CCD when switching to the B/W mode. Most other IR cameras to cut costs have a selective IR filter which is permanently fixed to the CCD. The advantage of the mechanical IR filter is that it physically removes the IR filter and thus allows the CCD in the B/W mode, to be exposed by the maximum amount of light. One is able to configure the Lux switch-over level by using the OSD menu.

LENS

The lens fitted to theE-992 is a vari-focal type and can be manually adjusted between 9 ~ 22 mm. Extremely innovative, this camera has two screw adjustments for focus and focal length on the rear of the camera. These mean the installer does not even have to open the camera housing to configure the camera or lens. Thus saving at least 50% of the installation time. This also helps to reduce the chance of any condensation within the camera's housing.

INFRA-RED LEDS

Surrounding the E-992's Lensis an LED-based Infra-Red Illuminator. This switches on when the camera moves to the day/night mode. It provides extensive illumination for the camera in the B/W mode allowing surveillance in conditions with poor or no lighting. TheE-992 has a special circuit to protect the LEDs from burn-out and threfore extend the lifetime. It also has a feature which compensates for over-saturation of the image caused by the IR illumination.

CONSTRUCTION

Designed to be rugged, theE-992 has a solid aluminium-alloy body with double O-ring seals. It is IP67 weatherproof rated and comes included with an adjustable wall mount bracket. Powder-coated, the bracket hides the camera cable and has various access points for conduit depending on the application. 

POWER

Designed to be extremely low in power consumption, the E-992 consumes a max 550mA at 24VDC  during the night when the illumination is switched on.
