24Ch Hybrid Digital Video Recorder with 16 Analog Channels & 8 IP Channels

The E-DVR-1610 is a new generation embedded hybrid DVR featuring support for both analog and IP cameras. Building on the excellent history of our older generation E-DVR-1608 aand E-DVR-1609 DVRs, the E-DVR-1610 features the same user-friendly GUI and extreme reliability. It features a dual-core embedded processor and Linux RTOS. The unit has 16 x real-time 25fps 960H resolution analog video channels. In addition to these it has support for eight 720P IP video streams or four 1080P IP video streams.

  • 16 Real-time 25 fps video channels (Upto 960H Resolution)
  • 16 Audio channels
  • 8 IP Video Stream Channels
  • Stand-alone embedded operation with Linux RTOS
  • H.264 Compression
  • Quadplex (Record/Playback/Monitor/Network)
  • Mouse Control
  • Responsive operation
  • HDMI monitor, VGA monitor or Video monitor output
  • Space for 1 x 5.25" DVD/CD Drive & 8 x 3.5" SATA HDD
  • 16 Looping Video Outputs & 1 Spot Video Output
  • Remote Monitoring over TCP/IP via Client App or Web Browser

Monitoring on all 16 analog channels is in-real time (25 fps) in multi or single display. This makes the unit ideal for use in areas with fast moving pedestrian traffic or with PTZ and high speed dome cameras. IP video stream channels can also be mixed into the same VGA/HDMI display output, thus providing the user with a true hybrid monitoring experience. Video channels can be displayed full-screen or multi-screen in quad, nine, sixteen or twenty-five way mode. The DVR has a VGA or HDMI output for PC monitor connections, as well as an analog video output that can be connected to a spot or event monitor. This can be selected manually via the menu or automatically via alarm/motion event activation. The DVR can also be configured to rotate between the different views.

Extremely easy to use and very responsive, the E-DVR-1610 has a colourful user-friendly GUI and various methods of user control.

The easiest is via a standard USB mouse. Extremely responsive, all functions can be accessed via the mouse, including setup, playback, PTZ control and monitoring. Alternatively the IR remote control can be used or the front panel controls on the actual DVR. A jog shuttle allows for VCR/DVD-type playback.

Utilising the very latest in H.264 compression technology, this DVR utilises hardware compression chips and a dual-core processor. This allows it to record each analog video channel in real-time (25 fps at 960 Resolution). With the E-DVR-1610 you no longer need to worry about low-res low frame rate recording. Four IP Video Streams can be recorded at 1080P resolution, eight streams at 720P resolution. A variety of different IP camera brands are supported, as well as some ONVIF compatible cameras. Please check with us for supported models/brands.

Recording for the analog cameras can be configured to activate via schedule, motion, hardware alarm input or manually. Currently the DVR can only record IP streams on a continous basis. No event or motion activated recording is supported for these IP streams. This is a feature which will be supported via a firmware update in the future. For storage, the E-DVR-1610 has the capacity for eight SATA HDDs allowing support for upto 24TBs of onboard storage. A 5.25" DVD-drive can be also be installed inside the unit for data backup. Due to the Dual-Core Processor, operation of the E-DVR-1610 is Quadplex, meaning recording continues during playback, monitoring and network transmission.

Cameras are played back individually, two at a time, four at a time or 16 at a time through the search menu function. Various playback speeds can be selected including x1/4, x1/2, x1, x2, x4, x8 or frame by frame. Video and Audio can also be played back from the unit across a TCP/IP network with the included Client Software. A new feature is the time-line bar which displays video recorded according to motion.

Recorded video can be backed-up through the unit's USB port or to an installed DVD drive. Any individual camera may be backed up for a pre-determined time. The video is then saved in a proprietry file format. This file can be played back on a PC with the playback application installed. With this application, still images can be obtained or the video converted to a standard AVI format. For remote backup over a TCP/IP network, the client software or a web browser can be used to download individual camera clips.

One of the many other DVR features includes direct PTZ/speed dome control. This is via the integrated RS485 interface. Several RS485 protocols are supported allow control over a variety of manufacturer's products. Each channel on the DVR can be configured with different brightness/contrast and hue settings. These can also be set for a particular time of the day which is helpful in terms of day/night cameras. Another one of the many features is that of 'hidden cameras' For applications where a covert camera is to be installed, any of the channels can be hidden from the main operator's view. User rights can be configured indivudally with access to certain cameras or all cameras, as well as access rights to playback and or configuration changes.
