Product Datasheet

The E-DVR-1616T is a new generation embedded tribrid recorder featuring support for analog, HDCVI and IP cameras.

HDCVI is a new standard which allows the transmission of hi-definition video over legacy standard co-axial 75ohm cabling.

Building on the excellent history of our older generation E-DVR-1608, E-DVR-1609 and E-DVR-1610 DVRs, the E-DVR-1616T features the same user-friendly GUI and extreme reliability. It also features a dual-core embedded processor and Linux RTOS. The unit has 16 x real-time video channels input channels with the customer having the option of selecting different camera types.

  • Stand-alone embedded operation with Linux RTOS
  • 16 Real-time video channels (Upto 1080P Resolution)
  • Individual Channels can be configured as Analog, HDCVI or IP
  • 4 Audio Input Channels & 1 Audio Output Channel
  • 2 x HDMI, 1 x VGA & 1 x Composite Video Analog Output
  • H.264 Compression
  • Quadplex (Record/Playback/Monitor/Network)
  • Mouse Control
  • 3  USB Ports
  • HDMI monitor, VGA monitor or Video monitor output
  • Space for 4 x 3.5" SATA HDDs
  • Remote Monitoring over TCP/IP via Client App or Web Browser

Monitoring on all 16 video channels is in-real time in multi or single display. This makes the unit ideal for use in areas with fast moving pedestrian traffic or with PTZ and high speed dome cameras. HDCVI, Analog or IP video stream channels can be mixed into the same VGA/HDMI display output, thus providing the user with a true tribrid CCTV experience. Video channels can be displayed full-screen or multi-screen in single, quad, nine or sixteen mode. The DVR has a VGA or HDMI output for PC monitor connections, as well as an analog video output that can be connected to a spot or event monitor. This can be selected manually via the menu or automatically via alarm/motion event activation. The DVR can also be configured to rotate between the different views.

Extremely easy to use and very responsive, the E-DVR-1616T has a colourful user-friendly GUI and various methods of user control.
The easiest is via a standard USB mouse. Extremely responsive, all functions can be accessed via the mouse, including setup, playback, PTZ control and monitoring.

Utilising the very latest in H.264 compression technology, this DVR utilises hardware compression chips and a dual-core processor. This allows it to record each video channel in real-time (upto 1080P Resolution). Recording for the cameras can be configured to activate via schedule, motion, hardware alarm input or manually.

For storage, the E-DVR-1616T has the capacity for four SATA HDDs allowing support for upto 16TBs of onboard storage. Due to the Dual-Core Processor, operation of the DVR is Quadplex, meaning recording continues during playback, monitoring and network transmission.

Cameras are played back individually, two at a time, four at a time or 16 at a time through the search menu function. Various playback speeds can be selected including x1/4, x1/2, x1, x2, x4, x8 or frame by frame. Video and Audio can also be played back from the unit across a TCP/IP network with the included Client Software. A new feature is the time-line bar which displays video recorded according to motion.

Recorded video can be backed-up through the unit's USB port or to an installed DVD drive. Any individual camera may be backed up for a pre-determined time. The video is then saved in a proprietry file format. This file can be played back on a PC with the playback application installed. With this application, still images can be obtained or the video converted to a standard AVI format. For remote backup over a TCP/IP network, the client software or a web browser can be used to download individual camera clips.

One of the many other DVR features includes direct PTZ/speed dome control. This is via the integrated RS485 interface. Several RS485 protocols are supported allow control over a variety of manufacturer's products. Each channel on the DVR can be configured with different brightness/contrast and hue settings. These can also be set for a particular time of the day which is helpful in terms of day/night cameras. Another one of the many features is that of 'hidden cameras' For applications where a covert camera is to be installed, any of the channels can be hidden from the main operator's view. User rights can be configured indivudally with access to certain cameras or all cameras, as well as access rights to playback and or configuration changes.
